These 3 young rabbis arrived in a country in which there was no formal community. Through their care and dedication they connected one Jew to another and slowly formed lively and growing communities.
The countries where they are do not yet have a strong, Jewish, financially successful critical mass and the local community is unable to fully support their efforts, including weekly Shabbat meals, Holiday events, Schools and more.
They each work very hard to reach their financial goals as they are fully independent and are not supported by any major funds.
The Talmud teaches us “the needs of your city come before the needs of other towns”.
We are appealing to the Jewish community of Singapore for help because you are the Jews Next Door. Not only available to their local communities, these young rabbis take care and responsibility for anything that happens to any Jew passing through their country. In fact, many in Singapore benefit from their services when traveling to these countries or sending their kids abroad.
So come for a visit and, please, consider helping and partnering with your fellow Jews next door.
Let’s share this responsibility!
